Privacy Policy
We value your trust. This document outlines how we handle your data with transparency and security at the core of AnyDate.
Effective Date: March 10, 2026
AnyDate ("we," "our," or "us") is operated by Any Technologies Ltd (AnyHQ). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use the AnyDate mobile application ("App") and related services.
By using AnyDate, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide Directly
- Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and date of birth. You may also sign in using Google or Apple, in which case we receive the name and email associated with that account.
- Contact Information: You may import contacts from your device's address book or create contacts manually within the App. This includes names, phone numbers, email addresses, and any additional information you choose to add (nicknames, relationships, important dates).
- Contact Personalization Data: You may choose to add personality details for your contacts, such as hobbies, personal traits, communication style preferences, favorite colors, mood tags, and notes. This data is used to personalize AI-generated messages.
- Events and Dates: You create and manage important dates including birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, graduations, and custom occasions linked to your contacts.
- Messages: Messages you create, edit, schedule, or save as drafts within the App, including AI-generated messages you choose to keep.
- Event Subscriptions: Your selections for global dates, public figure categories, and social groups you follow.
- User Preferences: Your chosen settings including language, theme, notification preferences, reminder intervals, and display preferences.
- Feedback and Support: Information you provide when contacting us for support or submitting feedback.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Device Information: Device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and app version.
- Usage Data: App interactions such as screens visited, features used, buttons tapped, session duration, and frequency of use.
- Crash and Performance Data: Crash reports, error logs, and performance metrics to help us identify and fix technical issues.
- Firebase App Check Tokens: Device attestation tokens used to verify that requests come from authentic app installations.
1.3 Information from Third-Party Services
- Authentication Providers: When you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name, email address, and a unique identifier from the provider. We do not receive your password.
- Subscription Services: Our payment processor (RevenueCat) provides us with subscription status, plan type, purchase dates, and expiration dates. We do not receive or store your payment card details, bank account information, or billing address.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information for the following purposes:
2.1 Core App Functionality
- Creating and maintaining your account
- Storing and syncing your contacts, events, and messages across your devices
- Sending you reminders and notifications for upcoming events
- Displaying your calendar with personalized event information
2.2 AI-Powered Message Generation
- With your explicit consent, we use the personality details you've added to contacts (hobbies, traits, communication style, relationship type) along with event details and your chosen tone to generate personalized messages through Google's Gemini AI service.
- AI processing occurs on Google's servers. We send only the specific contact personalization data and event context needed to generate the message — not your entire contact list or account data.
- You may revoke AI consent at any time in Settings → AI Preferences. Revoking consent immediately stops all AI data processing.
2.3 Analytics and Improvement
- Understanding how users interact with the App to improve features and user experience
- Identifying and fixing crashes, bugs, and performance issues
- Measuring the effectiveness of new features
2.4 Communication
- Sending transactional notifications (reminders, event alerts, message scheduling)
- Responding to your support requests and feedback
- Sending product updates and announcements (you can opt out in Settings)
2.5 Subscription Management
- Processing and managing your subscription status
- Enforcing feature access based on your plan (Free or Premium)
- Tracking AI usage quotas for free-tier users

4.1 Storage
Your data is stored on Google Cloud servers (via Firebase/Cloud Firestore) located in the United States. Data is replicated across multiple data centers for reliability.
4.2 Security Measures
- Encryption in Transit: All data transmitted between the App and our servers is encrypted using TLS (HTTPS).
- Encryption at Rest: Data stored in Cloud Firestore is encrypted at rest using Google's default encryption.
- Authentication: Firebase Authentication manages secure sign-in with email/password, Google, and Apple providers.
- App Check: Firebase App Check verifies that requests originate from authentic app installations, preventing unauthorized API access.
- Access Controls: Our backend enforces Firestore Security Rules that restrict data access to authenticated users viewing only their own data.
4.3 Your Responsibility
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. We recommend using a strong, unique password and enabling your device's built-in security features (passcode, biometrics).
5. Data Retention
- Account Data: We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
- Contacts, Events, and Messages: Stored for as long as your account is active. Deleted when you remove them individually or delete your account.
- AI Usage Logs: Daily AI usage counters are retained for quota enforcement and are reset on a rolling 24-hour window. Historical usage data is not retained long-term.
- Analytics Data: Anonymized usage and crash data may be retained for up to 14 months for trend analysis, in accordance with Firebase Analytics' default retention policy.
- Subscription Records: Purchase history is managed by RevenueCat and Apple/Google and is subject to their respective retention policies.
